William Theiss

Graduate Student

My research centers on early modern Europe, especially the history of Germany, the early book trade, humanism and the classical tradition. I received a B.A. from Yale (literature) and an M.Phil from Cambridge (history), where I was a Gates Cambridge scholar. Current projects include studies of the Anabaptists in 1520s Augsburg and the commentary tradition of Aeschylus in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
