Alan Stahl, a medieval historian, holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Pennsylvania with specialization in Archaeology and Art History. He is the author of ten books and over 100 articles on aspects of numismatics, ranging from ancient through modern coinage, medals, decorations, and paper money.
